The Portuguese primitive painting masterpiece
In this notebook, Almada shows three illustrations of the positioning of the fifteen paintings on the North wall of the Founder’s Chapel.
Executed in Mário Novais’ photographic studio, the size of these photo montages allows us to appreciate, in some detail, the geometrical composition that justifies the placement of the panels on the wall. The caption for the central /main study refers to the author’s theory on geometry and art and the caption of the study on the right refers to the registration, in the Government Gazette in 1960, of his idea regarding the panels.
